Our Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Policy

At Haltron İlaç Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., we aim to increase environmental, occupational health and safety performance in all our activities for a habitable environment, while meeting all needs and expectations of customers, in line with our principle of improving public health and life quality in our pharmaceutical procurement activities. For these goals, it is Ulkar Holding’s and Haltron Ilaç’s responsibility to:
• To strive to increase awareness about environmental and occupational safety: to organize activities to increase environmental and occupational health and safety awareness by constantly keeping in touch with all employees and suppliers, subcontractors, and our customers.
• To keep environmental awareness for air, water, soil, and hazardous wastes at a high level to prevent contamination.
• To preserve natural resources and to reduce wastes: to the extent possible by the financial means, to use natural resources in an efficient manner, to create less waste, to support waste-reducing activities by monitoring the created wastes, to ensure reuse, recovery/recycling by reducing wastes at their sources, and, when these are not possible, conducting waste disposal within the legal framework and documenting the process.
• To operate in line with the current national and international environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations and ensuring the observation of the same.
• To detect and take measures against potential risks that might cause environmental and occupational accidents and occupational diseases in our activities.

• To manage environmental and occupational health and safety risks in the planning of current and new investments in a manner to ensure healthy working conditions for employees, subcontractors/suppliers as well as visitors.
• To remain up-to-date: to operate by following the best practices in the world and the sector and by remaining compliant to the current legislation by keeping track of the changes in laws and regulations concerning environmental and occupational health and safety in our area of operations.
• Improving the system constantly: to be an “environmentally friendly” business that prevents unnecessary use and contamination of resources on a global scale, that reviews and improves its environmental management system in line with our technological and financial mean and improving beyond the laws and regulations in this aspect, and that achieves its periodical goals.
• To be transparent: to be accessible in all our works regarding the environmental and occupational health and safety areas, to announce the results we obtained regarding the environmental effects of our products and processes and our new goals to our partners, customers, and consumers.
